What causes Dry skin?
Again hormonal changes can play a part in the drying out of the skin- menopause and pregnancy for example. Skin conditions such as; eczema and psoriasis also cause dry skin. when the skin is dry and cracked if we fail to moisturise and repair, the skins natural barrier and first line of defence is compromised which could lead to infection and further loss of moisture from the skin through the cracks.
